Northwest Prenatal Ultrasound is a professional Advanced Medical Imaging facility specializing in prenatal ultrasound services. We came into existence to provide amazing 3D and 4D ultrasounds to the community to make this new technology available and create a positive bonding experience between expectant family and baby-to-be. Our complete diagnostic ultrasound services are designed to give parents a choice. We offer our services in a convenient location with hassle-free parking, private, comfortable setting, with personalized service, all within a compassionate, family-oriented environment. Our goal is to be the premier facility in Portland providing prenatal ultrasound services.

Our Radiologist
Diagnostic ultrasound examinations are supervised and interepreted by our radiologist, Roy Vaid, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Vaid went to medical school at New York Medical College and obtained a Ph.D. in physiology from Oxford University before attending his radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
At UCSF, Dr. Vaid trained in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound under the tutelage of many of the leading world experts in the field. These include Dr. Roy Filly, one of the founders of the field of obstetric ultrasound itself, who in the course of his thirty-five years of obstetric ultrasound practice has published over 400 ultrasound-related academic manuscripts, as well as Dr. Peter Callen, author of "Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynecology", one of the primary textbooks of the field which is now in its critically acclaimed fourth edition.
Dr. Vaid continues to be heavily involved in academic medical research, having published twenty-two first author journal articles and first-author academic meeting presentations, as well as having participated in numerous other co-authored publications and presentations. His numerous academic awards and honors include an NIH Research Award Fellowship, the Oxford University Beaconsfield Prize for outstanding Physiologic Sciences research, the British Overseas Scholarship award, and others.
